Your customer's voice: listen. learn. leverage.

June 2011

Greetings!

Our June news includes the first in a series of spotlights on social media for business featuring our white paper, Social Media for Business: How to Listen, Learn and Leverage, plus Yvonne Campos's recent appearance in Nanjing, China where she spoke to members of the global business community about women entrepreneurship.

SPOTLIGHT on Social Media Innovation

At Campos Inc, we've been investing our time understanding how to best use social media effectively for business, its implications on research, and how you can improve marketing performance by applying emerging research methodologies to identify the actionable items in the oceans of data out there. We are using social media as a part of our marketing efforts, to manage and engage with our online community, VO!CE of the Region, and as a component of our research toolbox. We're observing how it's being used in both B2B and B2C businesses, and how our clients are using it.

As we've contemplated determining how to measure the effectiveness of a business's use of social media, we've looked at how a business's social media strategy performs and what a business does with all of the data that is monitored and/or collected.

This is the first in a series about social media. In this segment, read about how, in order to gauge performance, we explored benchmarking the social media efforts of companies of various sizes compared to competitors, and to others in their industry who seem to be doing it right. Next month, we'll look at what a business can do with the data it may monitor and/or collect once its social media strategy is implemented.

Sharing ideas on women entrepreneurship - Yvonne Campos in China

Yvonne traveled to China last week for the 7th International Symposium on Multinational Business Management to speak at its Sino-American Women Entrepreneurship Seminar, jointly held by the School of Business at Nanjing University and  Seton Hill University.

Yvonne, along with Georgia Berner, Stephanie DiLeo and several highly-accomplished Chinese businesswomen, addressed business management in a post-financial crisis period, focusing on mature product line revitalization, sustainability and reinvention, and told personal stories of their own experiences as women entrepreneurs in business.  Attendees of the symposium, including scholars, entrepreneurs and senior managers of multi-national companies, seek to exchange ideas and experiences and find more business opportunities to pursue with those in our increasingly interconnected global community.
